About WASH Talk Podcast

WASH Talk Podcast was created by a team of volunteers at Hope Spring Water to have open and honest conversations about water, sanitation, and hygiene-related issues in Africa in particular and the rest of the world in general. Our goal is to educate and inform people about the importance of these issues, while  providing a platform for individuals and organisations that work in the sector to share their experiences, knowledge and stories.
The idea for the podcast came about while working in the charity sector. constantly seeing how critically these issues were affecting people globally, and yet, there didn’t seem to be many open conversations happening around them. We decided that if we could start a dialogue, we would not only bring attention to these important topics but also help empower people to make change in their own lives and communities.
So far, we’ve had some incredible guests on the show, ranging from NGO leaders to government officials to everyday people sharing their stories. We’ve covered a wide range of topics, including access to clean water, menstrual hygiene management, handwashing, and more. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us next! If you love the show or would like to be a guest, please use the contact form on WASH talk homepage to get involved.
